College Football Opening Line Report For Week Five
The College football season is well underway now and teams are starting to separate from the pack and acquire elite status. Other teams are in the middle of the pack and fighting for respect and a way to move up the latest college football rankings.
Here is a look at the opening lines at bookmaker.eu for some of the biggest college football games for week five.
Thursday Night: South Florida vs. Pittsburgh
This line opened at South Florida as a pick ‘em, but has already adjusted to the Bulls -2. The ranked Bulls are a road chalk over Pittsburgh and getting plenty of respect from the odds makers. The Panthers are off a close loss to Notre Dame and will be looking to rebound at home under the national television spotlight.
Auburn vs. South Carolina
After some time off to recover after having their winning streak snapped, the Auburn Tigers will have a big challenge as they face the South Carolina Gamecocks. South Carolina defeated Vanderbilt in their last outing and will be tough to beat at home. This explains why the odds makers opened the home team as double digit favorites in this game. South Carolina opened as 11.5 point favorites.
Texas A&M vs. Arkansas
Both of these teams will look to regroup after suffering tough losses in their last game. For the Texas A&M Aggies it may be tougher to recover after blowing a lead to Oklahoma State. With a big chance to jump up the polls they floundered and hope not to be suffering from hang over in this game. A&M opened as 3.5 point favorites over the Razorbacks. The Razorbacks were trounced by the Alabama Crimson Tide, but a good showing in this game, could help erase that memory.
Alabama vs. Florida
After a tough game against Arkansas, Alabama opened as six point favorites over the Florida Gators. The big difference in this game is it will be on the road. With the impressive showing by Florida, this line has already been bet down to as low as 4.5 in some places.
Nebraska at Wisconsin
Wisconsin has had the benefit of an easy schedule and will get their first true test when they host Nebraska. The Badgers opened up as seven point favorites and quickly were inflated to nine points. This line is starting to near ten points in this game, so if you like Wisconsin, the time to act is now.
There are plenty of great games this week in college football, but the time to react and place wager is now and not later in the week. Keep an eye on the line report and use it to your advantage every week.
