College Football Opening Line Report For Week Five

The College football season is well underway now and teams are starting to separate from the pack and acquire elite status. Other teams are in the middle of the pack and fighting for respect and a way to move up the latest college football rankings.

Thursday Night: South Florida vs. Pittsburgh

This line opened at South Florida as a pick ‘em, but has already adjusted to the Bulls -2. The ranked Bulls are a road chalk over Pittsburgh and getting plenty of respect from the odds makers. After a tough game against Arkansas, Alabama opened as six point favorites over the Florida Gators. The big difference in this game is it will be on the road. With the impressive showing by Florida, this line has already been bet down to as low as 4.5 in some places.

Nebraska at Wisconsin

Wisconsin has had the benefit of an easy schedule and will get their first true test when they host Nebraska. The Badgers opened up as seven point favorites and quickly were inflated to nine points. This line is starting to near ten points in this game, so if you like Wisconsin, the time to act is now.
