NFL Week 5 Picks – NFL Super Six
Each week, exclusively at Bangthebook.com I will release the Super Six in the NFL. This will be the top six football betting games that the NFL has to offer. Last week the picks came back to earth at 2-4 and now overall on the season the record is 13-11. Still a winning record and this week is sure to be another money making week.
Here are the Super Six picks for week five:
Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts are two point favorites although they have yet to win a game. They are tremendously banged up on defense and enter this game on a short week. They played well in the last game, but don’t expect another game like that with the way the Chiefs offense is starting to click. The Colts are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as a home favorite and lose this game.
Oakland Raiders at Houston Texans
The Texans are off a big win against the Steelers and tend to struggle in a game after a win. The Texans are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a win and 4-10-2 ATS in their last 16 games following a win in which they covered the number. Expect the Texans offense to struggle with Andre Johnson out of the lineup and the Raiders could easily get an upset win.
New York Jets at New England Patriots
The New York Jets are in a world of hurt and the odds makers see it. That is why the Patriots are nine point favorites in what is usually a close series. The Patriots like this number as they are 38-18-1 ATS in their last 57 games as a favorite of 3.5-10.0. Tom Brady and the Pats get revenge from losing in the playoffs.
New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers
Cam Newton is proving that he can play with some of the best teams in the NFL and they are gaining confidence every week. This week the Panthers are divisional home dogs and the public is loading up on the Saints. The Saints are 2-9 ATS against a team with a losing record and 3-7 ATS in the last 10 games as road chalk. The home team roars in this game.
Green Bay Packers at Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons looked shaky on the road and the Packers are looking like repeat champs. This caused the public to hammer the opening number and bet the Packers from 4 up to 6. The Falcons are a different team at home and have revenge from a year ago. The Packers are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against the Falcons and have a good chance to lose this game.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at SF 49ers
The 3-1 49ers are surprising this year but the betting public is not buying in on the hype. The Buccaneers are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games as an underdog of 0.5-3.0 and they travel across country on a short week. The 49ers are 4-0 ATS in their last four games as a favorite and will get the win and cover in this game.
