Each week, exclusively at Bangthebook.com I will release the Super Six in the NFL. This will be the top six football betting games that the NFL has to offer. The winning flat lined at 2-3-1last week and now the overall record is 23-16-3(59%). The record is outstanding, but there is still time to get back over 60%.
Here are the Super Six picks for week eight:
Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans
The wheels have come off for the Colts and now even rumors are swirling about trading Peyton Manning. This team has thrown in the towel. The Titans still have a decent record and are in the hunt for the division. Running back Chris Johnson has had a bad year, but it can all change with this game. The Colts are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a loss and keep free falling.
Tennessee Titans -9
Detroit Lions vs. Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos had a come from behind win in Tim Tebow’s first start, and they hope to carry that momentum over to his first home start. The Detroit Lions have been exposed as a team that has problems stopping the run. Quarterback Matthew Stafford is banged up, and that will be enough to bring the Tebow streak to two games in a row.
Denver Broncos +3
New England Patriots vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
In the game of the week, the New England Patriots travel to play the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tom Brady has owned the Patriots in this series, but that is all about to change. The Steelers have one of the top pass defenses in the league, and they will be able to torch the Patriots secondary. The Steelers are 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games as an underdog of 0.5-3.0 and get the outright win.
Pittsburgh Steelers +3
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Seattle Seahawks
The Bengals are a surprise team in the NFL, but will play this game without running back Cedric Benson who is suspended. This will make the Bengals one dimensional and the Seahawks actually have a stout defense and one of the best home field advantages in the league. The Seahawks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as a home underdog and get the win.
Seattle Seahawks +3
Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are in desperate need of a win after a slow start and beating the Cowboys would be great for the division race. The Cowboys have a stout defense and are off a big win against the Rams. DeMarco Murray will run hard again against a suspect Eagles defense, but Michael Vick will pull out the late win as the Eagles soar on Sunday night.
Eagles -3
San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs
One of the better sports betting angles to follow is the home dog on Monday Night Football. The Chiefs are off a big win against the Raiders, while the Chargers come in off a loss to the Jets. The Chargers are 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games as a road favorite and find a way to lose again.
Kansas City Chiefs +6
