College Football Upset of the Week – Week 14
Ladies and Gentlemen my name is JT Sneaks and I will be taking over the college football upset article of the week. Matt Regaw has moved on to the new cappers section here at bangthebook.com. I intend to continue the winning tradition that he started and look forward to picking free winners every week.
This week the college football upset of the week comes from the Big 12 championship game between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Cowboys are poised for a big BCS game and the only things standing in their way is the Sooners.
The Sooners have two wins and no chance of a national title so this game becomes huge for a team looking to impress the pollsters. The squares have given up the Sooners in favor of the high-flying Cowboys. A top ranking and an explosive offense, always brings out the squares. This line started at three and has been slightly bumped to 3.5 in some places.
Take those points. Brandon Weeden was exposed as quarterback in the game against the Iowa State Cyclones. The Cowboys have yet to exceed in a big time game, while for Stoops and the Sooners this is common place.
The Sooners are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous games, 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following a game in which they did not cover the spread, and 5-0-1 against the number as a road underdog.
The Sooners are perfect at 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings and that is because Stoops knows how to play this dynamic offense. This game belongs to the Sooners and is my college football upset of the week.
