NFL Week 15 Picks – Super Six
The Super Six split down the middle a week ago finishing at 3-3 on the week. A last minute play by the Houston Texans kept the record from going 4-2 on the week. Now I am back with week 15 picks and the super six.
The overall record for the Super Six this year is 44-38-3, and looking to end the season on a strong note.
Here are the Super Six picks for week 14:
Dallas Cowboys vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The loss by the Dallas Cowboys at the hands of the New York Giants is the kind of loss that can ruin the season. Luckily for Dallas, the Buccaneers are in a similar tail spin. If the Bucs have any pride they will get up for a home game on national television. The Cowboys are 2-12 ATS in their last 14 games as a favorite of 3.5-10.0 points and they will falter again looking ahead to divisional play.
New England Patriots vs. Denver Broncos
The Tim Tebow train keeps on rolling in Denver and they somehow find a way to keep winning ball games. The Patriots are winning but have obvious problems, especially on defense. The Patriots are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite due to that problem. The Broncos are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog and I am not getting off this bandwagon just yet.
New York Jets at Philadelphia Eagles
The win by the Philadelphia Eagles over the Miami Dolphins was small, but it gave this Eagles team confidence and now they host the Jets. This line opened at Eagles -3 and has been bet down to a Pick ‘em in some places because they betting public buys into the late surge the jets always seem to manage. Don’t be so quick to buy into it. The Jets are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games and lose here.
Carolina Panthers vs. Houston Texans
The Houston Texans host the Panthers and with a strong running game, they are expected to run all day long. The problem with this game is the Texans just clinched a playoff spot and will be in pure letdown mode. The line opened at 6.5 and with the great performance by rookie QB TJ Yates it jumped to seven. That is too many points to give as the Panthers have enough talent to keep this close.
Washington Redskins vs. New York Giants
The Washington Redskins deserve some credit. They are not winning, but they have not given up. They continue to play tough and will catch the Giants in a tough spot. The Giants are 1-11 ATS in their last 12 home games against a team with a losing road record and 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games as a home favorite. The Giants will still be coming off a high after beating the Boys on Sunday night football and the Redskins keep it close.
Detroit Lions vs. Oakland Raiders
The Raiders are home again to try and break up a bad stretch of football. The line opened with the Lions as one point favorites, but the silver and black have some public backing moving this line to a pick ‘em. The Lions are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games as a favorite and the Raiders are 7-21-2 ATS in their last 30 games as an underdog of 0.5-3.0. The free fall keeps going for Oakland has the Lions win a big road game.
