NFL Upset of the Week – Week 15
Each week here at bangthebook.com, we release a NFL upset of the week and it focuses on the top underdog of the week in the NFL. Out of all the weeks that we put up the upset of the week, it seems like this week the upset will get the biggest following.
One of the biggest stories in the NFL this year is Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos and it only makes sense that they are the upset of the week. In week 15 Tebow and the Broncos hope to keep the winning streak intact when they host the New England Patriots. This is arguably the biggest game of the season for the Broncos as they are finally facing some difficult opposition. Tom Brady is one of the best in the league and brings a rock-solid offense into this game.
The problem with the Patriots is that the offense has to score enough points to keep up with the weak defense. The defense gives up so many points; it puts pressure on Brady and company to keep racking up the points. That pressure showed last week when Brady had a blow up with the offensive coordinator.
The public is pouring money on the Patriots and over 90% of the people have placed a wager on the Patriots, which automatically makes the Broncos a solid play. The Broncos are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog, 5-0 ATS in their last 5 vs. AFC, and unstoppable since Tebow took over.
The Broncos defense has been playing well enough to keep the Broncos in the game, and Tebow will be able to exploit the weak defense of the Pats. In week 15 of the NFL, the Denver Broncos are the upset of the week.
