Pointspread: Boston OFF

Total Line: OFF

The Boston Celtics kick-off the second half of the NBA regular season with a Tuesday night matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena with the season series tied at one game apiece. The tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. (ET) and the game will be available on NBA League Pass.

Boston will try and get back-on-track in the Atlantic Division after a five-game losing streak to close-out the first half of the season dropped its overall record to 15-17 straight-up and has it four games in back of Philadelphia. The Celtics have also been costly against the spread at 13-19. They are just 4-9 SU (5-8 ATS) on the road this season with the total going 6-5-2 in the 13 games.

Age and injury in this year’s fast-paced regular season have taken its toll on Boston, but it should be pretty-much back to full strength for Tuesday’s game. The Celtics are ranked 26th in the NBA in scoring with an average of 89.4 points a game, but remain solid on defense; giving-up an average of just 88.5 points a game.

Cleveland, behind rookie sensation Kyrie Irving and Antawn Jamison, is a respectable 13-18 SU after ending last season with just 19 total victories. It is above .500 ATS at 16-15, but is just 1-5 ATS in its last six games. The Cavaliers are 8-9 both SU and ATS at home this season and the total has gone 8-9 as well.

Irving and Jamison are combining for 35.5 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists to lead the Cavs. The team is averaging 93.7 points a game but shooting just 42.4 percent from the floor which is ranked near the bottom of the league.

The Celtics are 1-5 ATS in their last six games against the Central Division and 0-6 ATS in their last six games on the road. The total has stayed ‘under’ in four of their last five road games.

The Cavaliers are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against the conference and 0-4 ATS in its last four home games. The total has stayed ‘under in five of their last six games overall.

The underdog in this series is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings and Boston is 4-9 ATS in its last 13 trips to Cleveland. The two have split the first two games this season with each team winning SU on the road, but the Cavaliers are 2-0 ATS. Still with this formula one more time as the Celtics get the SU win, but Cleveland keeps things close enough to cover. The Free Pick: Boston 89    Cleveland 86
