The Los Angeles Lakers travel east this week for a brief two-game road trip starting with a Tuesday night clash against the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum. Game time is set for 8 p.m. (ET) and it will be available on NBA League Pass.

Los Angeles is back on top in the Pacific Division after knocking-off Boston 97-94 on Sunday as a six-point home favorite. The Lakers are now 25-16 straight-up, but just 19-22 against the spread. They have really struggled on the road this season with just seven SU wins in 21 games and have a costly 6-15 record ATS. The total has gone an even 10-10-1 away from home.

The Lakers are averaging 94.3 points a game behind Kobe Bryant’s 28.8 point scoring average, but are giving-up almost as many points to their opponents for a differential of just +2.32. They are shooting 45.3 percent from the field and 30.6 percent from three-point range.

Memphis has climbed to within 2.5 games of San Antonio in the Southwest Division with an 8-2 SU record in its last eight games. The Grizzlies beat Denver 94-91 as six-point road underdogs this past Sunday to raise their overall record to 24-16 SU and 20-20 ATS. They are 15-5 SU (11-9 ATS) at home and the total has gone 10-10 in the 20 games.

The Grizzlies’ averages are almost identical to the Lakers with 94.3 points a game on offense, while giving-up an average of 92.1 points on defense. Memphis has six players scoring in double figures led by Rudy Gay’s 18.8 points a game.

Los Angeles is 2-6 ATS in its last eight games on the road and 1-4 ATS in its last five games following a SU win. The total has gone ‘over’ in nine of its last 12 games overall.

Memphis is 1-4 ATS in its last five games against the Pacific Division, but 5-2 ATS in its last seven games overall. The total has stayed ‘under’ in nine of its last 12 home games.

The home team is 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings and the total has gone ‘over’ in the last four. The Lakers beat the Grizzlies 90-82 on Jan.8 as 7.5-point home favorites, but are just 5-12 ATS in their last 17 trips to Memphis. Stick with the Grizzlies to take full advantage of LA’s troubles on the road this season with a win at home on Tuesday night.
