NFL Betting Strategies Week 3

This year the NFL has been unpredictable. There are surprise teams and upsets as well as power house teams staking their claim to the championship. With that being said it is important to utilize betting strategies every week in hopes of identifying the recent trends that will point out a big winner in the NFL from week to week.

That is why every week we will post a winning betting strategy along with a selection that will increase your sports betting knowledge and put some money in your pocket.

In week three in the NFL we will focus on the game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Oakland Raiders. The strategy is bet on a team that has yet to win and is playing at home as an underdog.

The Oakland Raiders have yet to win a game this season. After losing on Monday Night football against the San Diego Chargers, the Raiders traveled coast-to-coast on a short week to get upset by the Miami Dolphins.

Now in week 3 they have the insurmountable task of hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers who are fresh off a win over the New York Jets. Since the Raiders have yet to win the line opened with the Raiders as five-point underdogs. This makes the Raiders a play in week three.

It has gone relatively unnoticed, but quarterback Carson Palmer has played very well for the Raiders. Palmer is accurate and looks like the Palmer that played well in his days with the Bengals. Darren McFadden is healthy again and the Raiders will put a good and finally healthy offense on the field this week against the Steelers.

The Steelers beat the Jets but the Jets had a depleted secondary which made them vulnerable against the pass. Ben Roethlisberger will not have as much success against a Raiders secondary that is the strength of the defense.

The theory is that the Raiders will play all out since they are desperate to get the first win of the season and they will have beat the Steelers in week three.
