College Football Week 6 Odds: Spotlight on SEC games

When the College Football Week 6 Odds were released all eyes were on the SEC.

The SEC is arguably the best football conference in college football and often gets plenty of media attention, but this week they deserve it. With some of the top teams facing off in Week 6, many of the football betting fans rushed to the sportsbooks on Sunday to see what they opening lines were on these two quality matchups for Week 6.

LSU (-3) Over Florida


The Florida Gators are one of the biggest surprises in college football. Many predicted that they would have a much better year but no one predicted that they would be a part of the BCS picture. Now they will get to prove they deserve to be among the chatter when they host the top-ranked LSU Tigers.

Les Miles will view this game as an important one for the Tigers who are free falling in the polls despite a flawless record. The game against Florida could provide the Tigers with a signature win to move up in the polls or a game the Gators can use to make a run for the SEC title.

South Carolina (-2.5) Over Georgia

The LSU vs Florida game looks like it will be a good game, but it pales in comparison to the other huge SEC Showdown. South Carolina will host the top-ranked Bulldogs and the winner will have supremacy in the talented in the SEC.

ESPN Gameday is traveling to see Steve Spurrier and Marcus Lattimore go up against a Georgia team that has national championship expectations. Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray, and running back Todd Gurley will provide a difficult one-two punch for the Gamecocks defense in this big prime-time game in the SEC.

There are plenty of other great games on the college football week 6 schedules, but the SEC will dominate the spotlight.
