College Football Odds Week 8: First Look at Best Bets

The college football season heads to Week 8 and there are plenty of reasons to check out the big board early. All of the sharp bettors get the odds as early as possible so they can find value in the big schedule of college football games that are on tap for the upcoming week.

Here are some of the games that stand out that have plenty of value heading into week 8.

Clemson (-9) vs Virginia Tech

How far has the mighty fallen? The Virginia Tech Hokies started the year as national champion contenders and now they have had trouble putting away teams they should easily beat. After struggling last week to stay with Duke, the Hokies pulled away for the big win. Now they have to head into one of the hardest places in the country to play college football, Death Valley. The Clemson Tigers will be waiting with open arms and this number looks small with the way the Tigers have been playing.

Tennessee (+20.5) vs Alabama

The Volunteers are having a hard time winning ball games but one thing for sure, they don’t give up. They played a tough game against Mississippi State last week and never let up despite falling behind by a decent margin. The Crimson Tide is the top team in the country but outside of Michigan in week No. 1 they have yet to play a good football team. This will be the Super Bowl for the Volunteers and the points look like they have plenty of value.

Michigan State (+11.5) vs Michigan

The Wolverines have rebounded after a slow start and are playing much better football of late and will look to keep their winning ways going against Michigan State. The Spartans have fallen on hard times and enter this game after losing to Iowa in overtime. The Spartans are a better team than they have played of late and the points have the value with the Spartans in this Big Ten battle.
