The college football schedule and odds are out and the investigation has begun to find the best tips and tools to correctly pick a winner. When looking over the information it is important to take a quick look at the college football trends for week 9.
Here is a look at a few of the trends that are important to know heading into a big week of college football games.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will travel to Norman Oklahoma to take on the Sooners in one of the biggest games of the week. This is the real true test for the Irish and the college football trends are against them. The Sooners are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game, which means when the offense is producing it carries over to the next week.
Red-Hot Kansas State hosts the Texas Tech Red Raiders and they need to keep playing well if they want to be considered in the National Championship picture. The Wildcats are 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games in October, 41-20-1 ATS in their last 62 games following a win of more than 20 points, and 7-3 ATS in the last ten home games, so if the college football trends are right, the Wildcats will win again.
Finally in the biggest game of the week, the No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide will host No. 12 Mississippi State in a huge SEC meeting. The Bulldogs are 5-1 ATS when playing a team with a winning record, 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game, and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 conference games. Thetrends indicate that the Bulldogs can keep this close.
The college football trends do not always point out a clear winner but they can often reveal vital information to picking winners in college football.
