NFL Upset of the week: Week 11
NFL Upset of the Week: Browns Beat Over-Confident Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys are winning again and the swagger is back as the team demolished the Philadelphia Eagles in week 10. Now in week 11 the Cowboys will host the Cleveland Browns as seemingly beatable team and the fans are thinking playoffs once again.
The odds makers also firmly believe the Cowboys should win this game convincingly as the Cowboys are listed as 9.5 point favorites heading into this non conference matchup. A closer look would suggest that maybe the Cowboys are too overconfident.
The Cowboys just beat the Philadelphia Eagles and although they knocked out quarterback Michael Vick, the Eagles have not been the most talented team this season. The Cowboys needed a multitude of turnovers to pull away in this game.
Wide receiver Dez Bryant had a touchdown pass that looked dropped and if called against the Cowboys it could have been a game changer.
The Browns are off a bye and will be well rested and ready to go. Brandon Weeden has looked more impressive than a rookie and running back Trent Richardson can really run the rock. The Cowboys defense was burnt on a Hail Mary against rookie Nick Foles and the Browns offense will gain some ground.
The Browns are 8-2-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last 11 games following a loss and 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 road games.
The Cowboys are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games on turf and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 home games.
Upsets happen every week in the NFL and even the teams giving big points can fall victim. This week the over confident Cowboys are on upset alert.
