College Football Consensus: Rivalry Number Watch
College Football Week 13 is loaded with great rivalry games. These games put teams on the field that just don’t like each other. The assumption is that this type of game will yield a close result so underdogs may be primed to pull off an upset, and the consensus reports show a few good spots for the upcoming week.
In the battle of the golden boot in Arkansas the LSU Tigers and Les Miles go up against the Razorbacks along with lame duck coach John L. Smith. The Razorbacks are eager to play in this rivalry game but since they are not bowl eligible this is their bowl game. This is also the last game for quarterback Tyler Wilson. Wilson returned for another season and missed out on millions at the next level. If the Razorbacks had anything to pay for it would be this game.
The Tigers are seven point favorites in this game and the public is jumping on the road team. Over 70 percent of the public is on the road and that makes Arkansas the No. 1 underdog on the board for Friday that the public is betting against. The Hogs could surprise in the battle for the Golden Boot.
The public is also pounding another road chalk in the Oregon Ducks for the big battle known as the Civil War as they play against the Oregon State Beavers. The Oregon Ducks had their perfect season destroyed when they lost to the Stanford Cardinal at home a week ago.
Now with rumors around coach Chip Kelly going to the NFL, the Ducks have to regroup for a big win so they can make one last run at the BCS National Championship game.
The consensus does not guarantee a winner in college football but it does point out some interesting underdogs for week 13.
