College Football Consensus: Tracking the Championship Games
This week a lot will be decided as teams are playing for conference championship games. From the SEC Championship battle between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs to the Big 12 battle between Texas and Kansas State, a lot is on the line.
The Big 12 game is not even a championship game as the conference does not even have a championship game, but if the Wildcats take down the Longhorns they will get the championship for the conference. Due to these big games the public is pouring money into betting college football.
The majority of the betting public is looking at the ACC Championship game and the Florida State Seminoles. The Seminoles lost to Florida heading into this game but they are still double-digit favorites in the championship game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. That has not stopped the public from pounding the Seminoles to the tune of 74 percent the most of any team in a championship game this week.
In some of the other championship games it is much closer. In the SEC Championship game the Georgia Bulldogs are getting 51 percent of the action making this game an evenly bet contest. The Nebraska Cornhuskers are grabbing a slight 55 percentage of the public money in the Big Ten Championship game as they try and stop the Wisconsin Badgers from grabbing their fourth conference title.
The Wildcats are getting the big push from public bettors in the Big 12 game. The Wildcats are getting 67 percent of the cash flow over the Longhorns. Although it is not truly a championship game it will be a televised college football game and that always attracts the money.
This is a look at a few of the championship games that are sure to change as the week moves along toward kickoff.
