NFL Lock of the Week: Week 17
The New England Patriots are one of the best teams in the NFL and have a shot at going to the Super Bowl as the representative from the AFC East. However they looked less than impressive last week when they played against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jaguars are one of the worst teams in the NFL yet they hung around in the game against the Patriots and almost pull off the upset as double digit underdogs. The Patriots were upset with the way that they played and quarterback Tom Brady let it be known that he was not happy with how his team performed
The two-time NFL MVP reportedly yelled at his teammates after the game, saying their performance was unacceptable.
“An irate Brady could be heard upbraiding the team in the locker room following the game, with several expletives mixed in for emphasis,” Chris Gasper of The Boston Globe wrote Monday. “Multiple sources who were in the locker room confirmed that the franchise quarterback lit into his team after a lackluster performance.”
When Tom Brady speaks his team listens and this spells bad news for a Miami Dolphins team that trevls north for the winter. The Fins have hard times playing well in cold weather and to make matters worse the Patriots will be out to show their leader they can play better.
The Patriots are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following loss against the spread and they are 3-0-1 ATS in the last four games in Week 17. The Patriots will be fired up to finish well at home and will destroy the Dolphins.
The Patriots are eager to get their swag back.
The Patriots will win big and cover the double digit spread as the NFL Lock of the Week.
