Anaheim Ducks at Toronto Maple Leafs Preview
NHL Betting Preview
Anaheim Ducks (1-5-0) at Toronto Maple Leafs (1-2-2)
Tuesday, 7:05 pm Eastern – TSN
SBG Global Opening Line: Ducks – 125 , Total 5.5 Under -130
The Anaheim Ducks began the season as Stanley Cup contenders but have not looked the part through six games this season. The Ducks have just a single win and have played poorly many times this season. They will open up a four game road trip in Toronto on Tuesday night.
SBG Global reports that early Hockey betting has the public taking Ducks on the Road.
The Ducks lost their first four games this season by a combined score of 17-8. They won 4-0 against San Jose last Friday but then lost to Carolina 3-1 on Sunday. “When things are going against you, as they have this little while, we just haven’t found a way to put the puck across the line enough times,” Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said. “It’s not for lack of effort or quality scoring chances. We had a territorial advantage a lot of the game.” Anaheim has been horrible on the power play this season going 1 for 24 which is worst in the league. “It’s unbelievable,” right wing Teemu Selanne said, “We’re not getting any bounces. … All kinds of things are happening, but it’s not going in our favor. I think it was great effort again (Friday), and we deserved better than this.”
The Leafs haven’t been much better than Anaheim. They opened with a win against Detroit and haven’t really played well since, including losing 4-1 to Pittsburgh on Saturday. “We just didn’t execute very well,” said Maple Leafs coach Ron Wilson. Anaheim goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere is 2-3-0 with a 2.08 goals-against average in six career games against the Maple Leafs. Toronto’s Vesa Toskala is 2-3-0 with a 3.82 GAA against Anaheim in his career. Here are more Hockey betting stats for Tuesday’s game. The Ducks are 10-1 in their last 11 vs. the Northeast.
