College Football Lock Of The Week – Week 7

College Football Lock Of The Week - Week 7South Carolina is the lock of the week in college football for week seven brought to you by the leader for US sportsbooks

There is no such thing as a lock when it comes to betting on sports. Picking any winner that could be deemed a lock in sports is frowned upon, and in football it is even considered a jinx in some circles. All gamblers are usually superstitious, but the truth is that there are plenty of “locks” in football every week; the trick is finding them before the games play.

The lock of the week for week seven involves and SEC game as the South Carolina Gamecocks takes on Mississippi State on the road. The Mississippi State Bulldogs are searching for their first SEC win of the season. Dan Mullen’s team is special and had high expectations heading into the season, but has failed miserably. Chris Relf is one of the problems, as the Bulldogs offense has stalled on numerous occasions.

The defense keeps the Bulldogs in games as they are quick to the ball and have played well against some of the top teams in college football.

The Bulldogs are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games as an underdog, 0-4 ATS in the last four games on grass, and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

The Gamecocks removed quarterback Stephen Garcia from the team and it was long overdue. He was a Cancer and a constant problem on a team that has the ability go far. He was bringing them down and they will be fine without him. Marcus Lattimore is the strength of this offense and he will be able to get the tough yards against this stout defense.

The Gamecocks are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games following a  win of more than 20 points, 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game, and 4-0 ATS in the last four games.

The Gamecocks will dominate this game with defense and dropping the small number would be no problem. That makes this game, the lock of the week in college football.
