College Football Odds: First Look at Week 12 Lines

The college football season is winding down and the upset losses are changing the landscape of the BCS National Championship picture. The loss by the Crimson Tide to the Texas A&M Aggies assured that there would be a new No. 1 in the college football rankings.

Now heading into week 12 the games are becoming harder to handicap and a first look at the college football odds is the best way to prepare to pick winners on the season.

BetOnlineAfter losing to the Virginia Cavaliers, the Miami Hurricanes have to win out to make an impression to the bowl committee. They have no shot at a big BCS bowl but a strong finish could make all the difference. This week the Hurricanes opened as 7 point favorites at home over the South Florida Bulls.

The Clemson Tigers are on the verge of breaking into the top five in the college football rankings but they have to make sure to take all games seriously. This week if they are not careful they could get upset against North Carolina State a team that beat Florida State. The Tigers are 18 point favorites in this critical ACC matchup.

Finally in one of the bigger games of the week the Oregon Ducks and the Stanford Cardinal do battle in the Pac-12. The Oregon Ducks have a clear path to the BCS National Championship game with the Alabama loss. All they have to do is win the rest of the games on the schedule. However it won’t be easy this week as they take on the upset minded Stanford Cardinal.

The sportsbooks feel like they Ducks get it done as they are 21 point favorites in this game but it is important to remember this Stanford team beat USC earlier in the season.

College Football Week 12 is on the horizon and looking at the opening odds can make the difference in winning and losing.
