College Football Week 12 Picks – Super Six
College Football Super Six
The Super Six tailed off last week after posting back-to-back big weeks, and will look to rebound in week 12 of the college football season.
Last week the Super Six in college football finished at 2-4. Now the overall record for the year is at 32-27-1.
Each week I will release my Super Six for the weekend in college football. It will highlight six games on the college football schedule that are worth betting on with an explanation that features the latest odds and sports betting trends.
Here is the Super Six in week twelve:
Nebraska vs. Michigan
A lot could be said for the Nebraska team that went into Happy Valley last week under very tough circumstances and left with a victory. It will be much tougher to do that at Ann Arbor this week. The public is on the road team at an 82% clip. The Wolverines are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and get the outright win this weekend.
Wisconsin vs. Illinois
We will stay in the Big Ten for the second pick as the Wisconsin Badgers hit the road to take on the Illinois Fighting Illini. After a 6-0 start Illinois has fallen on tough times and will see this game as a chance to salvage their season and save head coach Ron Zook’s job. The Badgers are 3-11 ATS in their last 14 games as a road favorite of 10.5 or greater and they may win but won’t cover the number.
Georgia vs. Kentucky
The Georgia Bulldogs are playing great football right now and control their own destiny. In order to go to the SEC Championship game they will need to focus on every game and avoid letdown in games like this one. Kentucky is a team they should easily beat as the Bulldogs have the edge in every area. The Wildcats are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games as a road underdog and this number can’t be high enough.
Mississippi State vs. Arkansas
The Arkansas Razorbacks are slowly moving up the BCS rankings and doing it very quietly as LSU and Alabama is getting all the credit. Despite a big win against Tennessee last week, Tyler Wilson and the Razorbacks have a habit of starting slow and looking ahead. With a crucial game against LSU on deck, the Hogs better bet careful because they are on upset alert.
Mississippi State +13
Clemson vs. North Carolina State
After losing their undefeated season, the Clemson Tigers have rebounded and they now are poised to finish the ACC in good standings. Tajh Boyd is electric at the quarterback spot and unless there is a major letdown they should beat the Wolfpack. The Wolfpack have motivation on senior day and need a win to be bowl eligible. That will be enough to keep this close. The Wolfpack are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games as a home underdog and have a shot at the upset.
North Carolina State +7.5
Penn State vs. Ohio State
The Penn State NIttany Lions might be happy to get on the road and get a week off from scandal. The problem is they are going to Columbus and have to do battle with an angry Buckeye team that is off a horrible loss to Purdue. Penn State is going through way too much to ask them to win in this situation.
Ohio State -6.5
