Ladies and Gentlemen my name is JT Sneaks and I will be taking over the Super Six selections from here on out. Matt Regaw has moved on to the brand new Bangthebook.com Cappers section to provide his winning picks and analysis.
I am honored to take over the Super Six and will promise to bring the same winning tradition to the weekly picks here at bangthebook.com. I have a different approach but with impressive results.
Here is the Super Six in week 14:
LSU vs. Georgia
The SEC Championship is the biggest game of the weekend, but all you hear about is LSU vs. Alabama. This is a big game and LSU should be more focused on Georgia. The Bulldogs are hot and are 5-1 ATS in their last six games as an underdog of 10.5 or greater. The hotter team, plus points? I’ll bite!
UCLA vs. Oregon
The first ever Pac-12 Championship will be a joke. UCLA is in this game by default and quit on their coach last week. There is no reason to think know is the time they will step up. Chip Kelly like to impress the voters with a blow out in the championship game.
Wisconsin vs. Michigan State
The first ever Big Ten Championship will see Wisconsin take one Michigan State. When I saw the line at 9 points I rushed to my book to jump on the Spartans. This line is an overreaction to Wisconsin’s big win over Penn State. That gives me extra value in the Spartans and the points.
Michigan State +9
Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State was exposed by Iowa State and people let it slide due to the tragedy at the school. Now they play the Sooners who have a big chip on their shoulder after losing to Baylor and need that signature win to get recognized by the voters. The dog is live in this game and the upset is very possible.
Virginia Tech vs. Clemson
The Clemson Tigers are spiraling out of control late in the season with back-to-back losses and as usual the public is over reacting by backing the Virginia Tech Hokies. Backing the Hokies is a dangerous proposition as the Hokies are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Tigers are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games as an underdog of 3.5-10.0 and could easily win this game on the field in what should be a low scoring game. The play is to take the points.
Houston vs. Southern Mississippi
The Houston Cougars are undefeated and as long as they have Case Keenum at quarterback they should stay that way. Southern Mississippi will try to stake their claim to the conference USA title with a win as a 12 point underdog, but it’s highly unlikely. The Cougars are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games as a home favorite of 10.5 or greater and 17-5 ATS in their last 22 games as a favorite of 10.5 or greater. Don’t be worried about dropping the chalk with this team. The bigger win will only look better on their résumé.
This feature will be delivered here at Bangthebook.com all year long. Come back every week for the most current Super Six.
