The college football upset of the week for week seven is a lesser known game. There is plenty of great games on the college football schedule every week, and often football betting fans will focus on the big games or the televised games, however if you want to win money betting on sports, sometimes, the smaller games deserve some attention.

That is the case going into week seven in college football when the Navy Midshipmen battle the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.  This is a lower scaled game on the schedule and will not get attention, but he should.

The Knights will be in pure letdown mode for this game. They are on a winning streak and they have just finished off a huge win against the Pittsburgh Panthers. The Midshipmen are struggling this season but have a game plan that is known to wear down their opponent and they have a very physical approach. The public ignores this fact when betting on football and will just see a team from the Big East conference and jump all over the small favorite.

In fact the opening line in this game opened up at three and has been pushed up to four points with over 80% of the besting money coming in on the Scarlet Knights. The Knights put up plenty of points in their last game but it was not because of a robust offense. Quarterback Gary Nova has struggled to move the ball and the rushing game has been slow and predictable.

The Navy offense led by Quarterback Kriss Proctor can be very productive and in fact they posted over 500 yards a week ago.

The Midshipmen are 42-17 ATS in their last 59 games as a road underdog and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog of 3.5-10.0. The Scarlet Knights are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a home favorite of 3.5-10.0 and 0-4 against the spread when playing a losing team.

Navy has a genuine shot of winning this game and should win this game outright.
