Free MLB Picks: July 29 2014

The Major League Baseball is at a very interesting of the season. The trade deadline is quickly approaching and teams will have to decide if they are buyers or sellers in this trade market. Teams that decide to sell off pieces will have to deal with clubhouses that are shocked by the move and young talent that is inserted into the lineup. Teams that are buys acquire new pieces but have to try and fit these players into the lineup with disruption. It is this kind of chemistry that can make or break a team down the stretch. Here at Bangthebook.com we cover all the angles when we present our free picks.

Make sure to check back on a regular basis as we will post our MLB Picks of the Day!

Here is the MLB Picks for Saturday July 26th, 2014.

LA Angels at Baltimore Orioles

The LA Angles still occupy second place in the American League West as they continue to chase down the Oakland Athletics. The Baltimore Orioles are in first place in the American league East, but will have to hold off some hard charging teams, which makes this a very interesting series. Despite being in first place the Orioles are under dogs because the Angles are starting Jered Weaver. The Angels are 7-0 in Weavers last 7 starts with 5 days of rest and 19-7 in Weavers last 26 starts after scoring 2 runs or less in their previous game. With this low number the value is with Weaver.

Free Pick: LA Angels -120

Toronto Blue Jays at Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox are quickly fading away in the playoffs and they are giving their youngsters more and more playing time. Rubby De La Rosa is starting for the Red Sox and although he has potential he has struggled of late posting an ERA over 5 in his last three outings. The over is 7-2 in Blue Jays last 9 road games when they play against a team with a losing record and this series always provides a high scoring affair. The over is 6-0-1 in the last seven games in this series and that will continue in this game.

Free Pick: Toronto Blue Jays at Boston Red Sox Over 8.5 +100

Milwaukee Brewers at Tampa Bay Rays

The Rays are a very hot baseball team, but this is another case of getting good value with a starting pitcher. The Brewers start Matt Garza and as an underdog it is tough to pass him up.   The Rays are 1-4 in their last 5 home games when going up against a team with a winning road record and 6-13 in their last 19 interleague games. Take the Brewers to get the win on the road against the Rays.

Free Pick: Milwaukee Brewers +110
