Spread: Arizona Cardinals -1.5
The Arizona Cardinals are one of the best teams in the National Football League. They are tied for the most wins in the NFL with nine wins and currently are in first place in the very demanding NFC West. For as impressive as they have been this season, this team is beginning to show signs of weakness. The Cardinals lost quarterback Carson Palmer to a season ending injury and now their playoff path is in question.
The team has looked especially bad in the last two weeks losing back-to-back games in ugly fashion. The latest loss to the Atlanta Falcons may have easily been their worse defeat of the season. The Falcons jumped on the Cardinals early and put up 17 points in the first quarter and never looked back. Not only did the Cardinals lose this game, but they also lost three starters to injury.

Right guard Paul Fanaika suffered a high left ankle sprain after getting rolled up on and Safety Tyrann Mathieu said he fractured his left thumb while trying to make an open-field tackle in the second quarter. Finally running back Andre Ellington said he suffered a hip pointer after getting kneed in the second quarter and the status of these starters will be crucial to the future of this team. The Cardinals will need as many healthy starters as possible this week when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs, like many other teams in the NFL have a decent record but are in jeopardy of missing the playoffs. The Chiefs lost a very pivotal game to the Denver Broncos and the lack of production at wide receiver is starting to get a lot of attention.
The Chiefs wide outs have fewer yards combined as a unit than what Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas have each collected this season. Kansas City still does not have a receiving touchdown by a wide receiver. Every other team in the NFL has at least five.
This will be one of the better games of the week as both teams are in desperate need of a win.
