The Dodgers were just two wins away from setting the longest road winning streak in MLB history but it came to an end at 15 on Tuesday night with a 5-1 loss as 150 road favorites. Fortunately their pitching has remained rock solid and it is now ranked fourth in the NL with a team ERA of 3.43. Los Angeles will send Ricky Nolasco to the mound as its starter for Game 3. The right-hander is 7-9 on the year with a 3.78 ERA. He is 2-4 against St. Louis with a 4.18 ERA.
The Cardinals’ win on Tuesday night was just their fourth in their last 10 games but they are 3-2 in their last five. With the road winning streak snapped, the Dodgers are bound to lose some momentum heading into this game. St. Louis continues to do a great job at getting runners across the plate and that will be the case again tonight as it takes the 2-1 edge in this series with the win.
