The Stanley Cup Playoffs will continue on Saturday in NHL betting action when the Anaheim Ducks play host to the Los Angeles Kings on NBC Sports Network at 8:00 p.m. ET on the ice inside the Honda Center. This will be the first of a seven game series between these two California rivals.

The Kings completed an impossible comeback after losing the first three games of this series to force a Game 7 scenario on the road in San Jose. Los Angeles got itself together for an amazing game on Wednesday night becoming just the fourth team in NHL history to complete such a comeback as it took out San Jose 5-1 in a dominating performance. Kings G Jonathan Quick has been on fire in his L/4 starts stopping 130 of the 135 shots he has seen for an incredible .963 save percentage to go with a 1.25 GAA in that stretch. Quick had a rough start to the postseason giving up around five goals per game, but he really turned things around in a hurry to assist his team into the second round. Anze Kopitar helped the offense get going scoring four goals and dishing out three assists in the final four games against the Sharks. He scored a goal and had an assist in the deciding Game 7 and will be a big part of an offensive effort that will have to be solid in Anaheim.

The Ducks shot down the Dallas Stars in six games of their opening round series thanks to a 5-4 overtime win in the Lone Star State. Scoring goals remained absolutely no problem for this team in that series as they put up 3.33 goals per game with the league’s No. 1 offensive unit. During the regular season this offense scored 3.2 goals per game, but they will be challenged in this series with the Kings No. 1 defensive unit. Leading point scorer C Ryan Getzlaf was masterful in the opening series putting up seven points on three goals and four assists. The Ducks were one of the league’s best home teams during the regular season and that continued with a 3-0 SU mark against the Stars. They were 1-1 SU at home against the Kings this season and 4-1 SU overall in five meetings. With the total set at 5.0 in each of those games the ‘under’ was 3-1-1 with both teams struggling to score goals. If Anaheim can get a big series out of G Jonas Hiller it should be able to limit a Kings offense that has a hard time scoring with any consistency.

The Kings are playing with an extremely hot goalie right now as Quick won his L/4 starts in impressive fashion. The only thing we can nearly guarantee in this series is that goals will be few and far between. The Ducks did have goalie problems in the opening series as Hiller emerged as the starter when Frederik Andersen had his troubles in Dallas. We expect to see the Kings roll on in Game 1 behind a solid performance from Quick and some timely goal scoring. Los Angeles Kings @ Anaheim Ducks Pick: Los Angeles Kings
