The red-hot Minnesota Twins hope to continue their success as they head out on the road Monday for the start of a seven game road trip to face the Boston Red Sox.  The Twins went 7-2 on their homestand and moved within a game of the White Sox in the American League Central.  “We’ve got a good attitude on the bench. Guys are into it,” Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. “We feel like something’s going to happen eventually. We’ve just got to keep plugging away.”
SBG Global reports that early MLB betting has the public taking Red Sox at Home.

Boston returns home after a very disappointing 3-7 road trip.  The poor trip now has the Red Sox five games behind Tampa Bay in the American League East.  Boston will be happy to be home where they are 31-10 this season.  They have not played well against Minnesota though.  The Red Sox lost three of four at Minnesota in May.  They have also lost four of their last seven home games against the Twins.  Getting the start on Monday will be Daisuke Matsuzaka who is 9-1 with a 3.12 ERA this season.  He has allowed only one run and four hits over his last two starts at home. He is 2-0 with a 2.40 ERA against Minnesota in his career.  Scott Baker gets the start for Minnesota.  He is 5-2 with a 3.65 ERA this season.  He has won his last three starts overall.  This will be his first career start against Boston.
