The Denver Broncos and the Cincinnati Bengals will face each other in the week 16 edition of Monday Night Football. Both teams are having very good seasons up to this point, but it is the Bengals who need to win this game.

When the Broncos defeated the San Diego Chargers last week they clinched the AFC West and a playoff spot, but they are still chasing the New England Patriots for the right to have home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. The main concern right now for the Broncos is not the wins and losses but the health of future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning.

Manning left the game with flu like symptoms to get some fluids and it was also reported that he had a deep thigh bruise. Although Manning returned and played fine, this is something that deserves watching as the season winds down. If everything is clinched it could be reasonable that the Broncos rest Manning at some point if the games are meaningless.

For the Bengals there are no meaningless games. They are stuck in a logjam in the AFC North in a three way battle with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals hold a slim half game lead over these two teams and any loss could be devastating to the playoff hopes of this team.

Currently the Bengals hold the fourth spot in the playoffs as the Steelers come in fifth with the Ravens in the sixth spot. Obviously both teams would love to move up and a Bengals loss to the Broncos could open that possibility.

The Bengals are off a huge win against the Browns and they ran the ball exceptionally well. The Bengals ran the ball right up the middle against the Browns last week, gaining 194 of their 244 rush yards between the tackles, their most in a game this season.

The defense shut out the Browns and rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel and they will be looking to capitalize off that momentum in this big game against the Broncos.
In a must win situation the Bengals cannot afford to fall flat in this prime time battle with the Broncos.
