In the off season the heat assembled the newest version of the “Big three” and they signed LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. After the free agent bonanza, the Miami Heat skyrocketed to the top of the odds list as favorites to win an NBA title. The race for a banner begins in Boston.
The pressure for this season firmly sets on the shoulders of the Miami Heat. Since signing the big three, they have become villains in the NBA World. This pressure will be tough to bear at times in the NBA and they have the talent to deal with it. The problem is they don’t have the depth and a recent string of injuries have set them back even more.
The Celtics thrive in the underdog role as they are Celtics are 7-3 (against the spread) ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog. The Celtics play very well at home, posting a 9-3 ATS mark in the last twelve games. The aging Celtics are still full of quality players and they believe they can make a run at the title. If they are going to do that they will have to go through Miami. The Celtics prove they are legititmate top contenders and come away with the win on opening night.
