VietBet.comNBA Betting Previews- Oklahoma City Thunder vs Denver Nuggets

Pointspread: Oklahoma City -3

Total Line: OFF

The Oklahoma City Thunder will look to pad their generous lead in the Northwest Division when they face-off against the Denver Nuggets this Thursday night at the Pepsi Center. Game time is slated for 9 p.m. (ET) and it will be available of NBA League Pass.

Oklahoma City has raced-out to a 32-10 straight-up start, which is the best record in the Western Conference, but is coming off a 104-103 loss to Houston on Tuesday night as an 11.5-point home favorite. It was the Thunder’s third SU loss in their last six games and they are just 2-4 against the spread during this span. Oklahoma City is 23-19 ATS overall and 12-9 ATS on the road with the total going 10-11 in the 21 road games.

Behind Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook’s combined 51.5 points a game, the Thunder are averaging 102.5 points a game, but they have only crossed the 100-point mark in three of their last eight games. Defensively, they have given-up an average of 100 points in their last four games. Keep an eye on any injury updates for Durant for this game as he took a hard hit to his head towards the end of Tuesday’s game.

Denver’s 118-117 overtime victory over Atlanta as a five-point home favorite on Tuesday raised its record on the year to 24-19 both SU and ATS and cut the deficit in the division to 8.5 games. The Nuggets are just 13-10 SU and a costly 9-14 ATS at home this season. The total has stayed ‘under’ in 14 of the 23 games.

Scoring has not been an issue for Denver this entire season with a NBA-best 104.1 points a game. It has managed to elevate this to 107.4 points in its last five games and has scored 110 points or more in four of its last seven games. There are eight different Nuggets averaging nine or more points led by Ty Lawson and Danilo Gallinari’s 15-plus points a game.

The road team in this series is 3-0-1 ATS in the last four meetings and the total has stayed ‘under’ in six of the last nine games. The Thunder won the first meeting this season 124-118 in overtime as eight-point home favorites with the total going ‘over’ the 210-point line. Assuming that Durant is good to go, stick with Oklahoma City to return to form to hammer-out a win on the road against its division rivals. The Free NBA Pick: Oklahoma City 107      Denver 102
