NBA Report: Stock Watch Week of February 11th
Bang the Book.com has everything you need to successfully wager on the NBA. Every week we will break down the league and point out teams on the rise or the decline in our Stock Watch report. Every week we will post four teams that are rising up the ladder from a gambling standpoint and four that are to be avoided when going to the betting window.
In this Stock Watch article, we are going to break down four teams who should be on your radar list heading into this week of betting on basketball.
On The Rise
The Houston Rockets assumed when they signed Dwight Howard they would have a chance to win an NBA Championship. Their recent play on the court indicates that they are on the right path. They are 8-2 in the last ten games, have won six games in a row and they are blowing out their opposition.
The Mavericks recently jumped over the Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference playoff standings and if the playoffs started today they would be the last team to make it. They have won five straight and they are wining 70 percent of their last ten games. The Mavericks are getting healthy at the right moment and making a push to enter the All Star break on a winning note. Now is the time to keep an eye on the surging Mavericks.
On the Decline
The Philadelphia Sixers are making a big case to not only be on the decline list, but they are now in competition to be one of the worst teams in the National Basketball Association. They have dropped seven games in a row; just 1-9 in the last ten games overall and are currently getting devastated on a west coast road trip. They dropped back to back games as 15 point underdogs and were not even close to covering. At one point against the LA Clippers they were down 100-51! This team has clearly given up and they should be on your blacklist for the rest of the season.
San Antonio Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs are a very good team, but they are coasting into the All Star break. This team is very good at going through the motions during the regular season and putting their best effort foreword for the playoffs. They pick and choose their spots and you should do the same when betting on the Spurs. One bad spot is the All Star break. The Spurs are resting their players and have a 5-5 record in the last ten games. That is an ugly record considering that they are usually favorites in nearly every game that they play.
