NBA Sports Betting Pick: Orlando Magic at Portland Blazers

The well-rested Orlando Magic begins a four game west coast trip with a nationally televised game against the Portland Blazers. Diamond Sportsbook International (DSI) has the latest NBA sports betting odds and great wagering opportunities for basketball.

The Portland Blazers will be playing with one days rest after hosting the Phoenix Suns. After a slow start it is imperative that the Blazers string together a few wins and they will have the national stage to showcase their talents. The Blazers are the second game of a TNT NBA doubleheader and will follow the game between the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers. The Blazers will have to be fully prepared to play the Orlando Magic.

The Orlando Magic made sure winning on the road was on top of their priority list this season. So far that mindset has paid off as the Magic have a winning record on the road up to this point with six wins and just three losses. The Magic will look to rebound after losing to the Atlanta Hawks in a game where the offense just mustered 74 points. This is unusual for an offense that is known for its precise three-point shooting. It didn’t help that the Magic has many players attempting to play with the flu.

Dwight Howard was among the key players that suffered from flu like symptoms but still managed to give it a go against the Hawks. J.J Redick and Mickael Pietrus all were under the weather and when asked to play, they gave it their all but the results were miserable. Now with all three fully healthy the Magic will attempt to get back on the winning track against the Portland Blazers.

The real problem for the Magic has been the loss of Jameer Nelson. When Nelson is out of the lineup the Magic struggle with offensive sets and has trouble finding shots. The Magic have struggled when backup point guard Chris Duhon has been directing them. Nelson was out because of the stomach flu that had engulfed the team but is making the trip. The Magic are still unsure if he will play, but the Magic need him on the court if they hope to win.

The Magic are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games and 1-8 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a losing record. The Blazers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games and 4-1 ATS in their last five after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.

The Blazers are hitting their stride at the right time and will get the win over the recovering Orlando Magic.
