NBA Sports Betting Picks: Houston Rockets at LA Clippers
The LA Clippers have not turned the corner yet, but they are showing some good signs early in the season. If they can start winning ballgames at home against teams like the Houston Rockets, then people can start taking them seriously. Diamond Sportsbook International (DSI) has the NBA covered with the latest odds and wagering opportunities on every game.
After sitting a year with an injury, the Clippers draft jinx could be over as Blake Griffin is having a magnificent campaign and should be the favorite to win the rookie of the year. Despite the slow start by the franchise, the Clippers are starting to show signs of life. Griffin powered the team to a victory over the Pistons and that was the first win on the road all season. They then followed that up with an impressive win over Derrick Rose and the upstart Chicago Bulls. Although it is a modest winning streak it would seem as though the Clippers are starting to compete. If they can beat the Houston Rockets it would notch another quality victory for the Clippers.
The Rockets found at again that they would no longer have the services of Yao Ming. Ming is lost for the season and most likely his career due to injury. This is not a surprise for the Rockets as Ming has had plenty of injuries throughout his career, but he will be missed.
The Rockets are still below .500 on the season but in the month of December they are starting to heat up. The have already notched seven wins in the month of December to include a win over the Lakers. Kevin Martin leads the team averaging 23 points a contest and the Rockets boasts some of the best guards in the NBA.
Those guards will be tested against the Clippers and will try to work the floor in hopes of securing the win. The Rockets need to start winning because unfortunately they reside in the same division as the Dallas Mavericks and the San Antonio Spurs, two of the hottest teams in the NBA. They already trail first place by double digits and will need to win game against teams with a losing record if they want to keep pace.
The Rockets are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 road games against a team with a losing home record.
