NBA Report: Stock Watch Week of the December 11th
Bang the Book.com has everything you need to successfully wager on the NBA. Every week we will break down the league and point out teams on the rise or the decline in our Stock Watch report. Every week we will post four teams that are rising up the ladder from a gambling standpoint and four that are to be avoided when going to the betting window.
In this Stock Watch article, we are going to break down four teams who should be on your radar list heading into this week of betting on basketball.
On The Rise
The Detroit Pistons have a good team but they have only managed .500 basketball this season so far. They enter this week on an against the spread streak (ATS). They have covered four out of the last five games overall and have a good stretch of schedule this week where they are in a position to get some odds in their favor. The Pistons will be overlooked by the public, but now is the time to get on the bandwagon.
The Wizards make the “on the rise” list for the second week in a row. For the first time this season, this team is healthy and the results have been great. John Wall is controlling this team and with their latest rookie on the floor they have excellent chemistry. They are 11-9 against the spread (ATS) this season and they are only getting better. With plenty of rest this week look for a spot to back this team whenever possible.
On the Decline
The LA Lakers are a decent team and they recently got better with the return of Kobe Bryant. However for the odds makers this means that they will have to inflate the Lakers odds to prepare for the Laker fanatics that like to throw away money on this team. The team showed that they will need to time to adjust to his return when they were blown out in his first game back against the Toronto Raptors. Pick your spots wisely but the Lakers should be a fade for this week until they can get some chemistry.
The Brooklyn Nets have been on this list before and there is reason to believe that they could be a team to fade until they go through a coaching change. The Jason Kidd hire has been a miserable failure. The team is not coming together and they are losing against some bad teams. The players are playing very selfish basketball and without a coach to get them thinking alike and playing on the same page, the Nets are a team to avoid, or even fade when they are favorites.
