NFL Opening Line Report For Week 5
Here is a look at some of the opening NFL lines for week five from BetDSI – Top Sportsbook for US Players along with movement and public consensus.
Green Bay Packers (-5) vs. Atlanta Falcons
The Breen Bay Packers look as though they are on the way to playing in the Superbowl again as they have looked flawless so far. The Atlanta Falcons have struggled. The Packers opened up as four point favorites and public money shoved it up five points. The Falcons will have playoff revenge and it will be interesting to see if they can keep this close.
New York Jets (+9) vs. New England Patriots
How bad are things for the New York Jets? They lost badly against Baltimore and now have to travel, to Foxboro to play the Patriots. The line opened up at eight points and it was quickly bet up to nine points at most offshore locations. The Jets are playing poorly and this line reflects that.
Philadelphia Eagles (-2.5) vs. Buffalo Bills
The dream team has stumbled out of the gate and is just 1-3 on the season. The Bills are the opposite and at 3-1 on the season. The Eagles opened up as 3 point favorites but smart money moved this line down to 2.5. This could be a season changing victory for either team.
Chicago Bears (+6) vs. Detroit Lions
The Chicago Bears travel to Detroit to take on the Lions on Monday Night Football. The Lions opened up as a six point favorite and the line has yet to move. Detroit is the talk of the town this year in the NFL and the public are starting to jump on the bandwagon. This will cause a line inflation in the near future and should move the line this week.
