Week 2 of the NFL Preseason is the time when teams start to look more like what fans and bettors can expect to see when the regular season kicks off. With the Week 3 dress rehearsal on the horizon, the starters will play anywhere from one full quarter to almost an entire half depending on a team’s current state and a coach’s perspective on the preseason.
Over at BetDSI Sportsbook, action is coming in hot and heavy on the NFL Preseason and this week is no exception as bettors are loading their bankrolls for the season and making some wagers to try and build some momentum prior to September 4 when the NFL season kicks off with a Thursday night battle between the Green Bay Packers and the reigning Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks.

There are several interesting matchups this week as teams look to solve position battles and organize the depth chart for the Week 3 dress rehearsal. There’s no bigger position battle in the league right now than the quarterback competition in Cleveland, where Brian Hoyer and Johnny Manziel are fighting it out to see who will be under center for Week 1 of the regular season. The Browns will be in the national spotlight on ESPN next Monday night when they take on Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins. The Browns-Lions game on NFL Network on August 9 was the highest-rated preseason game on that channel by 36 percent. Expect an even bigger audience on ESPN for Monday’s matchup.
In other preseason action, the Eagles and Patriots face off on Friday night at Gillette Stadium with one of the highest totals bettors will ever see in a preseason contest. Bettors won’t see many preseason spreads higher than the Chargers at Seahawks matchup. The Broncos and Peyton Manning will open up Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco with a clash against Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers.
