NFL Week 17 Betting Trends
It’s the final week of the NFL regular season. This is always an interesting and unique week to bet on the NFL. Do your research well before diving into betting on games in the NFL this week. There are plenty of teams who have a lot to play for, and there are others who have nothing to play for. Don’t make the mistake of assuming you should always just bet on the teams that have something to play for though, because the oddsmakers have taken this into effect as well.
BangtheBook has offered a trends to consider article during the baseball season, and now we’ll be having an NFL trends to consider article during the football season as well. This will give bettors a good look at some of the most important trends to consider before placing a bet this week. Let’s look at trends to consider for games this coming weekend.
-The New York Jets and Miami Dolphins meet in south Florida this Sunday. The Jets are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 road games. The Dolphins are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games. The Jets are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games in Miami though. The Dolphins are in the driver’s seat in the AFC Wildcard.
-No one is ready for this season to be over any more in the Houston Texans. Houston was thought to be a Super Bowl contender, but they have won just two games all year. Houston is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games. They are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games against a team from the AFC South. The Titans are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games. Someone has to cover the number!
-The Bengals are a perfect 7-0 at home this year. Baltimore’s horrific performance at home last week against New England really hurt their playoff chances. The Ravens must win at Cincinnati to have any hopes of making the playoffs. The Bengals are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 home games. The Ravens are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 game at Cincinnati.
-Green Bay and Chicago meet in a massive battle in the AFC North this Saturday. Reports are that Aaron Rodgers will be back for this one. This is essentially a must-win game for both teams. The under is 13-3 in the last 16 meetings between these two. The under is 6-0 in the last 6 meetings between these two at Soldier Field.
-San Francisco and Arizona has turned into a marquee matchup this weekend. The Cardinals win at Seattle last week showed they are for real. The Arizona defense frustrated Russell Wilson all game long last week. The Cardinals are only one game behind the Niners and they’ll host them this weekend. The 49ers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games. The Cardinals are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games. Something has to give in this one.
-Seattle is looking to rebound from a rare home loss. The Seahawks are 36-17-1 ATS in their last 54 home games. The Rams are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games at Seattle. The underdog is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two.
-Philadelphia and Dallas square off in a battle for the top spot in the NFC East on Sunday Night in Dallas. Tony Romo is day-to-day with his back injury. Dallas is 5-13 ATS in their last 18 home games. The road team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two teams. A lot on the line for both teams here!
