The San Antonio Spurs are at it again and although it is still early in the NBA season, this team has proven that they have a championship caliber team. They will get another chance to put their talent on display Friday night when they face off against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Spurs have flat out owned the Grizzlies and return to Memphis for the first time since completing a four-game sweep of the Grizzlies in the Western Conference finals. The Spurs have already beaten them once this season and the Grizzlies will have a chance to exact revenge for that loss as well as the post season appearance a year ago. The Grizzlies come into this game playing their best basketball of the young season after completing a sweep of a four game road trip against some of the top teams in the league to include impressive wins against the LA Clippers and the Golden State Warriors.
Now they take the floor to take on a Spurs team that has become their nemesis over the years. The Grizzlies have some sports betting trends in their favor for this contest. The Grizzlies are 23-9 against the spread (ATS) in their last 32 home games when playing against a team with a road winning percentage of greater than .600, 35-17 ATS in their last 52 home games when playing against a team with a winning road record and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games following a straight up win. The Grizzlies will look to create matchup problems and play tough basketball at home in hopes of toppling the Spurs and giving them their second loss of the season.
Zach Randolph will be tough to stop. Randolph has been a force during the win streak, scoring more than 20 points in all four games, and has posted five consecutive double-doubles. He will be the mian target of the Spurs in this encounter.

The NBA basketball betting trends show just how domain the Spurs have been against the spread when playing Memphis. The Spurs are 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings and that includes a 5-1 ATS mark when playing on the road. However, the Grizzlies are playing better than they have in the past and will have this game circled. A win here would prove to the rest of the league that the Grizzlies have what it takes to play with the best and they get a big win against the Spurs to finally get a much needed win against their rivals.
