Two of the top teams from the Eastern Conference will square off in an interesting showdown between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Orlando Magic. The Magic will host the event at Amway Arena where they sport a 17-6 record this season. Cleveland has descent 14-8 road record this year keeping in mind they are a perfect 21-0 at home. However, this game will not be in Cleveland and this game is getting a lot of attention considering both teams have likely chances to meet during the playoffs. The game marks the first meeting between the Magic and Cavs this season while they both split the two meetings a year ago. Cleveland owns the best winning percentage in the NBA at 81.4% and they will also be going for their 5th straight win on Thursday night.
The Cleveland Cavaliers take their dominance on the road on Wednesday as they visit Elton Brand and the Philadelphia 76ers. Brand has missed the last two games for the 76ers but is expected to play on Wednesday. “If you did a survey, unless you’re a rookie or don’t play a lot of minutes, everybody has something,” Brand said.
The red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers will try and make a little history on Tuesday as they host the Toronto Raptors. The Cavaliers have won their last eight games by 12 points or more and can break the all-time NBA record if they blow out Toronto on Tuesday. They are tied with the 2007-2008 Houston Rockets who also won eight in a row by at least 12 points. “We take pride in trying to build big leads,” said Cleveland’s LeBron James.
The defending NBA Champion Boston Celtics open up defense of their title on Tuesday as they host LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The preseason was virtually flawless for the Celtics and they look poised for another great season. "We feel like we've picked up where we've left off," Boston’s Ray Allen said, "It's hard to disagree with anything we did last year, even though we think, 'I can do this a little bit better,' [or] 'I can do that a little bit better,' we got to a point last year where we did better by doing less, a lot of us.”
Things have gotten much tougher for the Cleveland Cavaliers in their series against the Boston Celtics. Not only do they have to win on Friday to force a Game 7, they must do it without one of their best shooters as Daniel Gibson will miss the game with a separated shoulder. It will be up to LeBron James to lead the Cavaliers on Friday.
The Boston Celtics had the NBA’s best regular season record but in the playoffs they have looked very beatable. After winning the first two games at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Celtics lost both road games and now the series is tied 2-2. The Celtics are now 0-5 on the road in the playoffs and it has many of the players concerned.
The Boston Celtics haven’t been able to win on the road in the playoffs and if that continues on Monday night their series against the Cleveland Cavaliers will be tied. The Celtics lost game three 108-84 on Saturday as they were blown out early and never recovered.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics will both try and play better than they did in game one as the teams meet in Boston on Thursday for game two. It was an ugly game one that the Celtics won 76-72. Both teams shot the ball poorly and Cleveland’s LeBron James was a disgrace going 2 of 18 from the field.
The Washington Wizards finally stopped talking and started playing on Wednesday and it resulted in a win on the road against the Cleveland Cavaliers. If Washington can win at home on Friday they would force a game 7 back in Cleveland on Sunday.
The Cleveland Cavaliers will try and put away the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night and end the war of words. For some reason the Wizards have talked a lot of trash in the series but all it has done is motivate LeBron James to play even better.
