The new Buckeye head coach has his team heading into this matchup with a 4-0 straight-up record that includes a 35-28 victory over California as a 17-point home favorite in Week 3 and last Saturday’s 29-15 romp over UAB as a 35.5-point favorite at home. This Saturday will be the first true test to see just how good his team actually is after it failed to cover a hefty spread in its last three games.

Tennessee Volunteers vs Georgia Bulldogs Pick

Tennessee jumped out to a fast start with a couple of solid victories over North Carolina State and Georgia State, but was somewhat exposed in a 37-20 loss to Florida as a 3.5-point favorite at home in Week 3. The Volunteers bounced back with a 47-26 win over Akron last Saturday as 31.5-point favorites at home, but as a whole, the jury is still out on just how good this team really is.

The non-conference schedule has been brutal for the Big Ten. The Big Ten has been the media’s punching bad, and for good reason, all through the first four weeks of the season. This is the week where the Big Ten starts to play against each other. Someone has to get off to a hot start inside conference play. Penn State travels to Champaign to take on the Fighting Illini this Saturday.
