LSU at Arkansas Pick and Preview

LSU will try and rebound from last week’s loss to Mississippi as they travel to Arkansas on Friday. The Tigers and Hogs will be meeting for the 13th straight year in a battle for “The Boot.” Last season was a classic game as Arkansas upset top-ranked LSU 50-48 in triple overtime. This season both teams are weaker as LSU is 7-4 overall while Arkansas is 4-7.

Two of the top teams in the SEC do battle on Saturday as #11 LSU hosts #9 Georgia. It is the first matchup between the two teams since the 2005 SEC Championship Game when the Bulldogs won 34-14 win over the Tigers. The Bulldogs haven’t played at LSU since 2003 when they lost 17-10. The Tigers are 5-4-1 against Georgia all-time in Tiger Stadium. Since 2003, the Tigers and Bulldogs have won the most games in the SEC. LSU has won 61 games while Georgia has won 57.

The LSU Tigers will try and rebound from a bad loss last week at Florida but it may not be easy against a tough South Carolina team. The Gamecocks have won four straight and have the nation’s third ranked defense. That could mean a low scoring game on Saturday night. An intense SEC rivalry game is on tap Saturday night in Florida as the Gators host the LSU Tigers. It is a matchup of the last two national champions and features last year’s Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow. It is the first time in 18 years that the National Champs from the previous two seasons will meet in a regular season game. LSU has won four of the last six meetings against Florida including two of the last three in Gainesville.
