The Philadelphia 76ers will try and force a game seven in their series against the Detroit Pistons with a win on Thursday night. It may not be easy considering the 76ers have not played well in the last two games. They collapsed in game #4 and were routed in game five.
The Cleveland Cavaliers will try and put away the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night and end the war of words. For some reason the Wizards have talked a lot of trash in the series but all it has done is motivate LeBron James to play even better.
What was supposed to be a quick and easy four game sweep of the Atlanta Hawks has turned into a dogfight for the Boston Celtics. The Celtics were expected to be resting by now but will be playing a pivotal game five on Wednesday night and then a game six in Atlanta on Friday.
The New Orleans Hornets will try and put away the Dallas Mavericks as the teams meet in game #5 on Tuesday night. The Mavericks are one game away from yet another first round failure. Chris Paul dominated the Mavericks in the first two games of the series and it was David West that did the Mavericks in on Sunday.
The San Antonio Spurs don’t want to give the Phoenix Suns any hope and will try and close them out on Tuesday night in Game #5 of their best of seven series. “We know that winning a Game 6 there is going to be really tough. If we don’t, then Game 7 we know is a lottery,” Spurs guard Manu Ginobili said.
The Denver Nuggets haven’t been able to slow down Kobe Bryant and the Lakers so far but they hope their home court will provide them with enough of an advantage to get back in the series on Saturday. The Nuggets were a sparkling 33-8 at home this season.
The Phoenix Suns may be in a desperate situation down 0-2 to the San Antonio Spurs but they still seem confident heading into game three on Friday night in Phoenix. Many fans seem ready to abandon ship but head coach Mike D’Antoni believes in his team.
A series that looked to be competitive could end very quickly if the Utah Jazz does as expected and win at home. The Jazz won both road games at Houston and now come home where they had the NBA’s best home record.

Now it will be up to Washington to answer. The series has been very physical so far and that may not change on Thursday.
The Phoenix Suns will try and bounce back from a heart-breaking loss in game one to the San Antonio Spurs as the teams meet for game two on Tuesday night. The Suns had the Spurs on the ropes a few times in game number one but couldn’t put them away and ended up losing in double overtime. “We didn’t catch a bullet,” Phoenix head coach Mike D’Antoni said. “They dodged a bullet.”
