First year Coach John Groce has the Illinois Fighting Illini off to a 9-0 start. Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs are also 9-0. The Fighting Illini are ranked 14th in the nation and Gonzaga is 10th in the nation. Groce did a great job with the Ohio Bobcats last year, and he is off to a great start with Illinois. Gonzaga has a great home court advantage and this should be a huge game between two unbeaten teams.
The Duke Blue Devils and the Temple Owls will head to the Izod Center in East Rutherford for a college basketball betting battle on Saturday afternoon.
The Owls know that they are going to have to be giant killers in this game, but they have the potential to really do some damage.
The Long Beach State 49ers went to Pittsburgh and stunned the Panthers in the non-conference season last year. They’ll travel to the Carrier Dome to try to knock off the Syracuse Orange on Thursday night. Both of these teams look a lot different than they did last year. Long Beach State isn’t the mid-major power they were a year ago, but they are still good enough to make some noise if Syracuse overlooks them.
The Sunshine State will be ablaze on Wednesday night at the Donald L. Tucker Center, where the Florida Gators will hope to keep their undefeated season going against the Florida State Seminoles in college basketball betting action.
Florida is all the way up to the No. 5 team in the country right now, and with the way that the Kentucky Wildcats have been struggling, there is a real sentiment that this might be the best team in the SEC.
The 2012 Jimmy V Classic heads to Madison Square Garden, where college basketball betting fans can sink their teeth into another great clash on the collegiate hardwood on Tuesday, as the Georgetown Hoyas take on the Texas Longhorns.
The Big East/SEC Challenge continues on Friday night from Fayetteville, where the Arkansas Razorbacks will play host to the Syracuse Orange in one of the showcase games of the tournament.
The ‘Cuse are headed for another remarkable season this year, and Head Coach Jim Boeheim should be commended for the way that he just continues to reload this program and never has to rebuild.
With the Big Ten/ACC Challenge out of the way, now the Big East and the ACC take center stage. Marquette and Florida met last year in the Sweet Sixteen, and the Gators came out with a 68-58 victory. Both teams have quite a few new faces, but both are expected to be high quality teams. Let’s take a look at this big early season matchup.
The ACC/Big Ten Challenge is the main event this week, and there is no bigger game on the schedule than this one. Ohio State travels to Durham to take on the Duke Blue Devils among the Cameron Crazies. It’s number four in the nation against number two. Ohio State blasted Duke by 22 in Columbus last year. Can the Blue Devils get some revenge here or will Ohio State win for a second straight year?
The time is here for the Indiana Hoosiers to prove themselves against some of the elite competition that the college basketball betting world has to offer. The North Carolina Tar Heels are coming to town, and they’re going to be bringing a very talented team eyeing an upset in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
A pair of teams that got off to a 1-0 starts to their campaign are going to meet at the O’Connell Center in Gainesville for a Wednesday night tussle on the college basketball odds, as the Florida Gators take on the Wisconsin Badgers.
The Badgers are always going to be playing their style of defense no matter who the foe is, and this won’t be an exception. They got off to a great start on that side of the court when they embarrassed the Southeastern Louisiana State Lions 87-47 on Sunday.
