The 2012 home schedule for the Dallas Cowboys begins on Sunday afternoon against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as they try to beat the NFL betting lines in this Week 3 clash.

The Buccaneers have really set the tone for what should be a great tenure for Head Coach Greg Schiano. Tampa Bay made it known last week against the New York Giants that it isn’t going to be a gigantic pushover as it was last year.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Washington Redskins Pick

QB Robert Griffin III is going to be making his debut in front of his hometown fans at FedEx Field in NFL betting action this week for his Washington Redskins when they take on the Cincinnati Bengals.

Last year, Cincinnati went 9-0 against teams that didn’t get into the playoffs and 0-8 against teams that did, including a first round loss to the Houston Texans at Reliant Stadium. This year, that appears to be holding serve, as the Bengals beat the Cleveland Browns (not going to the playoffs) and lost to the Baltimore Ravens (probably will go to the playoffs).

NFL Betting: NFL Matchups for Week 3

Here at Bang the Book, we have all of the top matchups of the 2012 NFL betting campaign covered! Today, we’re taking a look at the best matchups for Week 3!

Last year, the Colts and the Jaguars were two of the worst teams in the league, and the two games were total dogs. This year, both of these teams could be just as bad this year. The Colts at least have a future now in QB Andrew Luck, and he had a fantastic game last week in his home opener against the Vikings.

NFL Consensus Week 3 Pick

The NFL season is starting to take shape and as a handicapper it is important to gather information as the season progresses. The more information that a handicapper has the better they become at picking winners. One of the tools that is a must have for any serious handicapper is the consensus report showing what teams the public are betting on. If used properly a handicapper can use it to gauge action and uncover winners.

For example last week using the NFL consensus report would have indicated that the New England Patriots were the most popular team being bet on by the betting public.

Saints @ Panthers Football Free Pick

The Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints both started off the campaign with bad losses in NFL betting action last week. One will be knocked down to 0-2 when these two squads meet on Tobacco Road in an NFC South rivalry game in Week 2.

Both the Baltimore Ravens and the Philadelphia Eagles are 1-0 right out of the blocks, but they have very different feels to the way that they started their campaign. They’re back in action this Sunday in the City of Brotherly Love in what amounts to be quite the close clash on the NFL betting odds.

The Ravens were arguably the most dominating team in the league on both sides of the ball in Week 1′s romp of the Cincinnati Bengals.
