The total went OVER the 45.5-point line. In his first regular season start since 2010, Manning completed 19-of-26 attempts for 253 yards and two touchdowns. He looked very comfortable in his new surroundings and took firm control of the offense especially when running it out of a no-huddle formation.
Detroit began its quest for a second-straight winning season with a 27-23 victory over St. Louis as a nine-point favorite at home that may have raised more questions than answers for this team. The total went OVER the 46-point line. The Lions rolled-up 355 yards through the air with Matthew Stafford at the helm, but he looked dazed and confused in the first half with three interceptions that led to 13 points for the Rams.
The Dallas Cowboys weren’t given much of a chance on opening night last week in New York, but they beat the Giants 24-17 in the season opener. Dallas has missed out on the playoffs in the past two years, and they have high expectations this season. Seattle lost a tough one in Arizona in week one. The Seahawks are always tough in front of a raucous home crowd at CenturyLink Field.
The Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints both started off the campaign with bad losses in NFL betting action last week. One will be knocked down to 0-2 when these two squads meet on Tobacco Road in an NFC South rivalry game in Week 2.
