The New Orleans Saints can move one step closer to a playoff bid on Sunday afternoon at home in a tremendous NFL betting battle against one of the up and coming teams that the league has to offer, the St. Louis Rams.
At the outset of the season, everyone expected to see the San Francisco 49ers win the NFC West with ease, as the rest of the division really shouldn't have proven to give that much of a challenge. The latter part of that statement was right, but San Fran has been a total mess all season long. If it can beat the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday though, its season will at least maintain its pulse. If not, it's going to be a long, long offseason for a team that has a lot of questions to answer.
This is the day of reckoning for the San Diego Chargers. If they don't find a way to beat the Kansas City Chiefs and make for good Week 14 NFL picks, they are going to be mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. KC can't quite lock up the division with a win, but it can get its magic number within two against the Oakland Raiders.
The Washington Redskins have clearly run out of rope, as they need to win this game to stay mathematically alive for a chance at the postseason this year. However, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are two games in front of them heading into this NFL betting affair, are probably thinking the exact same thing, as their window of opportunity to get into the playoffs is starting to close as well.
Playoff hopes will be on the line on Sunday afternoon at Mall of America Field, as the Minnesota Vikings continue to try to latch onto their feint postseason dreams, as they take on the New York Giants.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are on the verge of locking down a playoff spot in the AFC, and though they are the significant favorites in this NFL betting battle, the Cincinnati Bengals are going to stand in their way on Sunday afternoon.
The season very well could be on the line for both the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans on the NFL Network’s Thursday Night Football. The two are both on life support right now, and though both could still get the job done even with a defeat, both will feel a heck of a lot better putting some added pressure on the Jacksonville Jaguars in what appears will be just a one bid division for the playoffs.
Monday Night Football betting action might not get much bigger than this for the rest of the season. In one of the most highly anticipated matchups of the season, the New England Patriots will play host to the New York Jets in a game in which the winner will be the first to ten wins in the AFC and will have the inside track towards the No. 1 overall seed in the playoffs in the conference.
First place in the AFC North will be on the line on Sunday Night Football this weekend, as the Pittsburgh Steelers face off with the Baltimore Ravens. The winner will be a game up and should have the tiebreaker over the other for the final quarter of the regular season as well. Needless to say, the stakes are very, very high in this one, as there is a huge difference between having to go on the road for three playoff games and getting a first round bye and getting to play at least one, if not two home games en route to the Super Bowl.
Things are starting to get a little hairy for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who badly need to get back into the win column on Sunday afternoon. However, the Atlanta Falcons have the best record in the NFC and are tied for the best mark in the league, and they don’t want to give that up on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium.
