Monday Night Football Week 3 Pick- Green Bay vs. Seattle

All is well in Green Bay after the Packers redeemed themselves from a stunning 30-22 loss to San Francisco on opening day as six-point favorites at home with a convincing 23-10 victory over NFC North Division-rival Chicago last Thursday night as five-point home favorites.

Aaron Rodgers showed his MVP form against the Bears after a less than stellar performance against the 49ers and the offense as a whole did a much better job of creating some balance between running and passing the ball. Rodgers only threw for 219 yards while Cedric Benson led a rushing attack that ran for 106 yards. He ended last week’s game with 81 yards on the ground.

New England Patriots vs Baltimore Ravens Pick

New England started the regular season in typical fashion with a 34-13 pasting of Tennessee as a 4.5-point road favorite, but in its home opener last Sunday as a 13-point favorite was stunned 20-18 by Arizona after a last second game-winning field goal went wide left. How much to make of this shocking loss remains to be seen, but it certainly left New England fans scratching their heads.

Tom Brady and Co. head back on the road where they are 50-24-3 against the spread over the past several years.

NFL Consensus Week 3 Pick

The NFL season is starting to take shape and as a handicapper it is important to gather information as the season progresses. The more information that a handicapper has the better they become at picking winners. One of the tools that is a must have for any serious handicapper is the consensus report showing what teams the public are betting on. If used properly a handicapper can use it to gauge action and uncover winners.

For example last week using the NFL consensus report would have indicated that the New England Patriots were the most popular team being bet on by the betting public.

NFL Thursday Night Football Free Pick- Giants vs. Panthers

Much in the same way they played in last year’s run to a Super Bowl title; the Giants have remained on the edge to start this season as well. After a 24-17 opening day loss to Dallas as 3.5-point home favorite, they dug themselves into a 27-13 hole against Tampa Bay before Eli Manning decided to get back to work. The result was a thrilling 41-34 victory that avoided a dreaded 0-2 start. They could not cover the nine-point spread at home and the total went well OVER the 43.5-point line after staying UNDER in the Cowboys game.
