The Miami Heat watched the second longest winning streak in NBA history go by the boards just this past week. They’ll try to stretch their newest winning streak to two games on Sunday in what might be the biggest game of the year against the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center.
Dallas continues to battle to stay in the playoff race in the Western Conference with a four-game winning streak that has it three games in back of the Lakers for the eighth and final spot. The impressive part of this current run is that the last three wins came on the road where the Mavericks are just 13-21 straight-up this season. They are 30-33 SU overall but a profitable 37-26 against the spread.
By virtue of a five-game winning streak that includes a 91-79 rout of Boston this past Sunday as an 11-point home favorite, Oklahoma City can tie the Spurs for the top spot in the Western Conference with a win on Monday night. The Thunder are 47-16 straight-up this season and, after covering in seven of their last nine games, a profitable 38-23-2 against the spread.
Chicago is tied with Brooklyn for fourth-place in the Eastern Conference standings, but it will have a hard time staying there if it does not improve upon a 6-9 SU record in its last 15 games. The Bulls are now 34-26 straight-up overall and 27-33 against the spread this season. They remain one of the best road teams in the NBA at 17-12 SU and are a profitable 18-11 ATS.
For just the second time this season, the Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs are set to do battle when they meet in NBA betting action on Friday night at Oracle Arena.
It’s a battle between two first place teams tonight in Los Angeles as the San Antonio Spurs travel to “Lob City” to take on the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center. The Spurs swept the Clippers out of the playoffs last year but the Clippers have certainly had the Spurs numbers so far this season. The Clips have taken both meetings earlier this year.
The Spurs are still without the services of both Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili, but they are 2-1 both straight-up and against the spread in the first three games of an extended road trip including a 111-86 rout of Brooklyn on Sunday as 2.5-point favorites. San Antonio is now 40-12 SU (29-21-2 ATS) overall and 18-10 SU (16-12 ATS) on the road. The total has gone OVER in five of its last eight games.
The San Antonio Spurs are back on the road of the third game of the Rodeo Road Trip on the East Coast, and they’ll try to beat the NBA betting odds against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night.
San Antonio will be going for its 11th-straight victory on Wednesday night at the Target Center, but it will not be easy with two of its top players out of the lineup. Manu Ginobili already missed his last start with a tight hamstring and Tim Duncan is nursing both a knee and ankle strain. That means it will be up to Tony Parker and a strong supporting cast to try and keep the streak alive.
San Antonio has reeled-off six straight victories to move into a tie atop the Western Conference with an overall record of 34-11 which includes a solid 15-9 record on the road. The Spurs have not been nearly as good to wager on lately with a 3-6 record against the spread in their last nine games, but they are still 25-19-1 ATS overall. Their record on the road ATS is 13-11 and the total has stayed UNDER in eight of their last 10 games.
