NFC West foes will be sharing a table together this holiday weekend, as the St. Louis Rams and the San Francisco 49ers come together for their second meeting of the year in NFL betting action.
The 49ers are a solid playoff team in the NFC at 6-4 straight-up, but a two-game losing streak has put a major dent in their plans for a third-straight NFC West Division title with Seattle sitting in the lead at 10-1. Last Sunday they lost to New Orleans 23-20 on a last second field goal as 3.5-point road underdogs after coming up just short in a 10-9 loss to Carolina the week before as six-point home favorites. San Francisco has still been a great team to bet on with a 6-1 record against the spread in its last seven games. The total has stayed UNDER in their last two games.
Week 6 of the NFL season is here! With all of the games on the docket each and every week, we are going to be zeroing in on just one side or total that we think is the best of the bunch. Join us today, look at the game on Sunday, October 13th between the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers.
The pressure has been dialed-up on Houston heading into this showdown after back-to-back losses to Baltimore and Seattle. After getting hammered by the Ravens 30-9 as a one-point road underdog in Week 3, this past Sunday it fell to the Seahawks 23-20 in overtime as a one-point underdog at home. The Texans are 2-2 straight-up on the year, but they have failed to cover against the spread in all four games. The total has gone OVER in three of their four outings.
The San Francisco 49ers beat the Green Bay Packers in the season opener, but they have dropped two straight games and have been dominated in both of those contests. The St. Louis Rams edged out a victory in week one over the Cardinals, but the Rams have fallen short in their last two contests as well. This is an important game for both teams. Let’s take a look at this featured Thursday Night game.
The Colts opened the new NFL season with a 21-17 win over Oakland but failed to cover as 11-point favorites at home. Last Sunday they came up short as one-point home favorites in a 24-20 loss to Miami to even their record at 1-1 straight-up. They will now have to go on the road as prohibitive underdogs in what should be a great test to see if Indianapolis is truly a playoff contender or a one hit wonder after last season’s 11-5 SU mark.
San Francisco comes into this huge NFC West showdown 1-0 after an opening day 34-28 victory over Green Bay as a five-point favorite at home with the total going OVER the 47-point closing line. The 49ers had to erase a four-point deficit midway through the fourth quarter with 10 unanswered points down the stretch to get the win. They sealed things with a 33-yard field goal with just 26 seconds on the clock.
The last time Green Bay faced the 49ers things did not go so well in a 45-31 loss as a three-point road underdog in last season’s Divisional Round playoffs. This followed a 30-22 loss to the eventual NFC Champion in the 2012 season opener as a six-point favorite at home.
