New Orleans Hornets at Dallas Mavericks Game 3 Pick

Chris Paul has led the New Orleans Hornets to two dominating wins over the Dallas Mavericks with the series now moving to Dallas for games three and four. MVP candidate Paul is averaging 33.5 points per game and also dishing out 13.5 assists per game. He is the first player in NBA history to have at least 30 points and 10 assists in his first two playoff games.

Colorado at San Diego Preview 4/17/08

The Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres conclude a three-game set on Thursday evening at Petco Park. Jake Peavy gets the start for the Padres while Jeff Francis goes for the Rockies. Peavy is already in mid-season form with an ERA of 1.64 and a 3-0 record. Francis has struggled so far going 0-2 with a 9.53 ERA.

Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees Preview 4/16/2008

The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees meet for the fourth time this season on Wednesday as the teams open up a short two game set, this time in New York. The Red Sox took two of three in Boston over the weekend against the Yankees. SBG Global reports that early MLB betting has the public taking Yankees at Home.

Milwaukee Brewers at St. Louis Cardinals Preview 4/15/2008

The Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals have started the season in fine form with the Brewers starting 8-4 and the Cardinals going 9-4. Milwaukee is getting some unexpected help as Gabe Kapler, who was coaching in the minor leagues last season is leading the way.

Orlando Magic at Atlanta Hawks Preview 4/15/2008

The Atlanta Hawks will probably already be in the playoffs when they host the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night. Indiana had to win at Washington on Tuesday to keep their playoff hopes alive and that was unlikely, which means the Hawks would get the eight spot in the East.

Houston Rockets at Utah Jazz Preview 4/14

A possible first round playoff preview will take place on Monday night as the Utah Jazz host the Houston Rockets. The seeding in the Western Conference is very tight though and each team is trying to improve their position. The Jazz have a chance to tie Houston in the standings with a win tonight and that is a good possibility considering the Jazz have the best home record in the NBA at 36-4.

Boston Red Sox at Cleveland Indians Preview 4/14

The Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians begin a series on Monday in a rematch of last year’s ALCS that Boston won after trailing three games to one. Boston went on to win the World Series after the comeback against Cleveland. The Indians could be looking for a little revenge but considering they are only 5-7 this season they could just be trying to win some games.

New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox Preview 4/13

One of the best rivalries in all of sports continues on Sunday night as the Boston Red Sox host the New York Yankees. The Yankees are schedule to throw Phil Hughes on Sunday while the Red Sox will counter with Daisuke Matsuzaka. Hughes has not started off well this season and will be under a lot of pressure on Sunday since he grew up as a Red Sox fan. Hughes couldn’t make it out of the fourth inning on Tuesday against Kansas City. Hughes has never faced Boston in his career.

Cleveland Cavaliers at Chicago Bulls Preview 4/11

The Cleveland Cavaliers come into Friday’s game trying to finish out the season strong and hold on to fourth place in the Eastern Conference while the Chicago Bulls are just playing out the string. The Cavaliers are coming off a nice comeback on Wednesday as they trailed New Jersey by 14 points in the third quarter before going on a big run that ended in a blowout win.
